Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: April 14, 2026

The short version: TheTechVerdict earns commissions when you purchase products through our links. This never affects our editorial ratings or recommendations — we only recommend tools we believe in, and we always tell you when a link is affiliate-based.

What Is an Affiliate Link?

When you click certain links on TheTechVerdict and make a purchase or sign up for a service, we may receive a small commission from the merchant — at absolutely no additional cost to you. These are called affiliate links, and they are one of the primary ways we fund the research, writing, and infrastructure that keeps TheTechVerdict free for readers.

Affiliate links are clearly marked throughout the site with rel="sponsored" attributes in the HTML, and are visually indicated by buttons labelled "Visit Site," "Get Started," or similar calls to action that link to a vendor's website.

FTC Compliance

In accordance with the United States Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255), we are required to disclose any material connection between TheTechVerdict and the companies whose products appear on our site. This page, along with the disclosure notices placed adjacent to affiliate links throughout the site, constitutes that disclosure.

We believe transparency is non-negotiable. Every reader deserves to know when a financial relationship exists between a publisher and a vendor.

Does This Affect Our Rankings or Reviews?

No. Our rankings, scores, and editorial opinions are determined independently of commercial relationships. A product's affiliate commission rate has no bearing on its placement in our lists, its star rating, or the content written about it. In fact, some of our top-ranked products pay us no commission at all.

Our editorial process is governed by a set of evaluation criteria applied consistently across every product in a given category — including pricing, features, ease of use, customer support quality, and user-reported satisfaction. Products that perform well on these criteria are ranked highly regardless of whether an affiliate programme exists.

We do not accept payment in exchange for positive reviews or higher rankings. Vendors cannot purchase placement on TheTechVerdict.

Which Products Have Affiliate Relationships?

The majority of products listed on TheTechVerdict that include a "Visit Site" or "Get Started" button are linked via an affiliate programme. However, not every product on the site has an affiliate relationship — we include products we consider relevant to readers whether or not a commercial relationship exists.

Where a product page includes an affiliate link, a disclosure notice is displayed near the top of that page. You can assume that any outbound link styled as a primary call-to-action button is an affiliate link unless otherwise stated.

Sponsored Content

From time to time, TheTechVerdict may publish sponsored content — articles or features created in partnership with a vendor. All sponsored content is clearly labelled with a "Sponsored" tag at the top of the article. Sponsored content represents the views of the sponsoring vendor and is distinct from our independent editorial reviews.

Price Accuracy

We strive to keep pricing information up to date, but software pricing changes frequently. Always verify the current price directly on the vendor's website before making a purchase decision. TheTechVerdict accepts no responsibility for pricing discrepancies between what is displayed on our site and what is charged by the vendor.
